I was made to feel that if I wasn’t starving, I wasn’t working hard enough. A “meal” was even a teaspoon of peanut butter. Let me tell you – I licked that spoon clean!
Physiologically, if you train (or even if you don’t), you need to eat enough fuel to meet your individual needs. Instead, physical therapists offer their clients cookie-cutter diet plans that are too restrictive and don’t take your personal circumstances into account.
These are not durable. And they are certainly not healthy. If you want to adopt a slightly healthier lifestyle, simply incorporating more movement into your daily life as part of running errands, socializing or playing with your children is much easier to maintain and sustainable.
Your physical and mental health go hand in hand. Appreciate your body for what it can do, don’t be persuaded to notice what it supposedly lacks. Your mental well-being is so important.

5. There isn’t enough emphasis on intrinsic motivation.
Everyone makes New Year’s resolutions; save money for a house, eat healthier, call your friends more.
As you know, it’s not as simple as opening a savings account, buying more green products or hitting the dial button.
Life is coming! There must be an intrinsically motivated approach for you.
When it comes to taking care of your overall health, there’s no point cooking your meals, buying new workout clothes, and planning your days if you don’t have such a strong, deep reason, so moving that there can be no plan B. .
If you decide to make changes to your lifestyle, those changes are purely yours first and don’t impress you for all the reasons I’ve mentioned in this article. Next, you need to find deep-seated, emotional motivation.
When you have an intrinsically self-motivated reason, your successes along the way will be that much more rewarding because you have only yourself to thank.
You will find joy and gratitude in the process, not just in the far end result. Your promises to yourself are honest and you put yourself first. You trust that you will always find what is best for you and no one else.
